De ES krijgt namelijk een nieuwe nieuwe middenconsole, een ingreep die meer engineering vergt dan je op het eerste gezicht zou zeggen. Voor de berijder van de ES zorgt de nieuwe console voor meer comfort en gebruiksgemak. Vanaf komend modeljaar heeft de ES twee bekerhouders, een draadloze smartphone-oplader en twee USB-aansluitingen: de USB-A voor verbinding met het multimediasysteem en een USB-C voor het opladen van apparaten. Op de optielijst staat nu ook een nieuwe interieurkleur: Ammonite Sand. De F Sport Design is leverbaar in tien exterieurkleuren en vier interieurkleuren. De productie van de nieuwe Lexus ES is inmiddels begonnen. Aan de motorisering werd niets gewijzigd, de bekende 218 pk hybride is de enig leverbare motor voor de Nederlandse markt.
