De IDx werd in twee varianten getoond: als Freeflow en als Nismo. Welke van de twee als basis zal dienen liet hij in het midden.<!--more-->Maar aangezien Nismo een variatie op een thema is, is het hoogst waarschijnlijk dat de &#8216;normale&#8217; IDx in productie gaat. Het ligt in de lijn der verwachting dat Nismo vervolgens hun eigen versie ontwikkeld. De wens is de vader van de gedachte, maar ik durf te stellen dat zowel de Freeflow en de Nismo de showrooms zullen halen.<\/p>\n<p>De IDx concepts zijn ontwikkeld om als basis te dienen voor een GT 86 \/ BRZ concurrent. Motor voorin, aandrijving op de achterwielen; het klassieke recept voor rij- en driftplezier. Ten tijde van de Tokyo Motor Show was er sprake van een drietal motoriseringen: een 1.2 en 1.5 turbo voor de Freeflow, en de 1.6 DIG-T voor de Nismo. Wereldwijd wordt het besluit van Nissan toegejuicht, de roemruchte Datsun 510 en de good old 200 SX krijgen met de IDx eindelijk een spirituele opvolger. Al moeten we nog wel even wachten, pas in 2016 zal de productieversie gepresenteerd worden.
