Ook als EV!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SsangYong heeft een aantal designschetsen de wereld ingestuurd van haar nieuwe SUV, en deze krijgt de naam Torres. De SsangYong Torres is een D-segment SUV die het gat tussen de <a href=\"https:\/\/carnold.nl\/en\/ssangyong-korando-e-motion-overtreft-de-verwachting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Korando<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/carnold.nl\/en\/rijtest-ssangyong-rexton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rexton<\/a> moet opvullen. De naam is ontleend aan het Torres del Fine National Park in Patagoni\u00eb. Dit wonder van natuurschoon omvat bergen, meren, gletsjer en een enorme diversiteit aan woeste &#8211; maar wonderschone &#8211; natuur. De nieuwe Torres is een <em>full blown<\/em>\u00a0 SUV die in staat is om door dergelijke woeste natuur te rijden. Een echte offroader van SsangYong dus, en daarmee zet het zuid-Koreaanse merk zich ook af tegen de <em>softroaders<\/em> in het marktsegement: de Torres staat zijn mannetje op onverharde weg. Een stompe, stoere snoet met een relatieve kleine grill en een hoge voorbumper zorgen voor de nodige bodemvrijheid en een ruime aanloophoek in het terrein. De achterkant van de Torres is erg markant, de asymmetrische uitstulping is een verwijzing naar een reservewielhouder (wellicht dat die aftermarket leverbaar wordt), en SsangYong monteert een handgreep als kofferbakopener. In recente tests kwamen de SsangYongs telkens goed uit de bus, en zijn ze kwalitatief vergelijkbaar met Hyundai en Kia. Volgende maand start de productie van de Torres voor de huismarkt, wij moeten nog even wachten op de eerste offici\u00eble foto&#8217;s en nadere details.
