De 2022-versie kan sneller laden, krijgt nieuwe lakkleuren en interieur-upgrades. De snellaadtijd is daardoor met 10 minuten verkort tot 26 minuten. Mazda heeft ook een nieuw motorgeluid ontwikkeld waardoor de bestuurder een beter gevoel krijgt over de hoeveelheid vermogen die hij \/ zij via het gaspedaal oproept. Naast de bekende witte en zadelbruine bekledingsstoffen is er nu een <em>all black<\/em> interieur leverbaar. De A- en C- stijl zijn bij de two-tone uitvoeringen zilverkleurig gespoten, de Jet\u00a0 Black versies krijgen altijd een zwart interieur. Ook nieuw is de combinatie van Soul Red Crystal met een zwart dak, deze kleurstelling zorgt voor een sportieve uitstraling.
