De Lexus LC is voor het nieuwe modeljaar ge\u00fcpdate, voor 2022 krijgt de LC een aantal onderstelaanpassingen en er komt een bespoke<\/em> programma. Met dat laatste kan de koper individuele wensen met de fabriek afstemmen om een unieke auto te laten bouwen.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

De onderstelaanpassingen worden toegepast op alle uitvoeringen en alle motorvarianten, dus ook de convertible die toch een unieke plaats in het Lexus-gamma inneemt. Het onderstel was al eerder onderwerp van finetuning, omdat de eerste bouwjaren volgens de berijders vrij straf geveerd en gedempt waren. Lexus heeft het rijcomfort met eerdere aanpassing al verder verfijnd, maar met deze recente onderstelupdate is het stuurgevoel verbeterd en wordt de bestuurder meer betrokken bij het rijden.<\/p>\n

In de Normal-modus rijdt de LC nadrukkelijk comfortabel, deze stand is bedoeld voor cruisen en ritten over langere afstand. Het maakt van de Lexus LC de Grand Tourer die het altijd al was, maar dan nog verfijnder. In de Sport + modus passen de schokdempers en de stuurinrichting zich aan. De demping wordt straffer waardoor nadeinen van de vering ge\u00eblimineerd is, en waardoor het bochtenwerk een stuk strakker wordt. Zeker met de fabuleuze V8 zal dat heerlijk sturen zijn op de Europese bergpassen.<\/p>\n

Lexus voerde een update uit aan het schakelsysteem van de LC, hoewel alles shift-by-wire is, is de LC vanaf nu beter mechanisch beveiligd tegen onbedoeld inschakelen van de achteruitversnelling. Het shift-lock systeem vereist nu een nadrukkelijke manuele handeling voordat de LC in de achteruit geschakeld kan worden. Ter verhoging van het comfort werden ook de stoelframes opnieuw ontworpen, een vrij ingrijpende update die niet meteen zichtbaar is, maar die zeker effect sorteert op de lange rit.<\/p>\n

Met het Bespoke Program biedt Lexus de koper van een LC de mogelijkheid om individuele wensen te specificeren bij de Motomachi fabriek. Het gaat hierbij om wensen ten aanzien van lakkleuren, interieurmaterialen en -kleuren, velgen, aerodynamische opties en het materiaal van het dak. Ook opties die voorheen alleen in speciale edities leverbaar waren, kunnen nu via het Bespoke Program besteld worden. Een voorbeeld hiervan is het Marina White interieur dat eerder alleen in de Convertible Regatta Edition werd geleverd.<\/p>\n

Ook deze 21 inch lichtmetalen velgen zijn via het Bespoke Program te bestellen, desgewenst in combinatie met het Black Exterior Package. Lexus heeft nog geen prijzen bekendgemaakt voor de 2022 modellen van de LC, deze worden in een later stadium bekendgemaakt.<\/p>\n
