Bij het tellen van de productieaantallen van de afgelopen maand bleek dat Lexus eind april zijn tweemiljoenste hybride auto heeft gebouwd. Lexus viert dit feit met de aankondiging van de eerste Plug-In Hybride, die nog dit jaar gepresenteerd wordt.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Een Lexus zonder hybride aandrijflijn is zeldzaam, slechts enkele modellen (UX, RC, LS en LC) zijn leverbaar zonder hybride aandrijving. Bij ons is de Hybride een bekend gezicht, maar op de gehele wereldmarkt (90 landen, met 9 verschillende modellen) is ruim eenderde van de nieuw verkochte Lexussen een hybride. Laten we hopen dat ook zij snel aan de hybride gaan, want het is een vreselijk fijne aandrijflijn.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

De eerste hybride Lexus was de RX400h die in 2005 verscheen, dit was de eerste vierwielaangedreven auto zonder een cardanas. Deze RX markeerde het technisch vernuft, de bouwkwaliteit en de betrouwbaarheid van Lexus’ hybride aandrijving. De RX is sindsdien dan ook het meestverkochte hybride-model van Lexus, maar liefst 518.000 zijn er inmiddels verkocht. In totaal hebben Lexus hybrides 19 miljoen ton aan CO2-uitstoot bespaard.<\/p>\n

PHEV en BEV in aantocht<\/h2>\n

In het persbericht worden ook twee belangrijke nieuwtjes aangekondigd: dit jaar nog wordt er een PHEV ge\u00efntroduceerd en in de loop van 2022 komt er een nieuw, volledig elektrisch model. Deze is gebaseerd op de LF-Z-electrified concept car. Reken er maar op dat ook dit model dicht bij de concept car blijft, net zoals de Lexus LC.<\/p>\n

In navolging van Toyota gaat ook Lexus modellen uitrusten met steer-by-wire systemen, dit is dezelfde techniek die in de Toyota bz4x<\/a> gebruikt wordt. Daarnaast zal Direct4 op meer Lexussen toegepast worden, dit vierwiel-aandrijfsysteem verzorgt de elektrische aandrijving op beide assen en kan ook de remkracht per wiel regelen. Dit zorgt voor een betere voertuigcontrole, meer rijplezier en het vergroot de veiligheid.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
