Fuji Heavy Industries heeft de eerste details van het Subaru Global Platform bekendgemaakt, het platform waarop alle toekomstige Subaru&#8217;s gebaseerd worden. Daarbij werden ook veel technische details en nieuwtjes bekendgemaakt. Carnold.nl zet ze voor je op een rijtje.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 2014 presenteerde Subaru &#8216;Prominence 2020&#8217;, de langetermijnvisie van het merk. De bekende Subaru-productkenmerken (Boxermotor, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, EyeSight) staan daarin centraal, maar ook het motto &#8216;Enjoyment and Peace of Mind&#8217; speelt daarin een belangrijke rol. Dit motto houdt in dat het rijplezier en de gemoedsrust van de bestuurder kernwaarden zijn. Maar hoe wil Subaru dat in de praktijk invullen? In de eerste plaats door rijplezier te bieden, en in de tweede plaats door betrouwbare en vooral veilige auto&#8217;s te bouwen. Het vandaag gepresenteerde Subaru Global Platform (SGP) zal daarin een belangrijke rol spelen. Het splinternieuwe platform is ontworpen met de twee kernwaarden voor ogen en biedt &#8216;Dynamic feel&#8217; en het hoogste veiligheidsniveau ter wereld. Het platform is dus oersolide en heeft een enorme weerstand tegen torsie over de lengte-as. De ophangpunten voor de wielophanging zijn ook aanzienlijk verbeterd en het zwaartepunt ligt 5 millimeter lager, tezamen met de stijfheid biedt het SGP een geweldige rechtuitstabiliteit, aldus Subaru. Door de sterke structuur van het platform worden trillingen en geluiden sterk gereduceerd, de carrosserie wordt stiller en rustiger. Het rijcomfort profiteert hier het meeste van: minder trillingen in het stuur, de carrosserie en de stoelen zorgen voor rust op de lange afstand. Subaru heeft ervoor gekozen om de achterste stabilisator rechtstreeks aan de carrosserie te bevestigen, hierdoor wordt de rolbeweging van het koetswerk met 50% gereduceerd.<\/p>\n<h1>Maximale veiligheid<\/h1>\n<p>Het lagere zwaartepunt biedt niet alleen voordelen voor het rijplezier, het zorgt namelijk ook voor een stabieler en beter voorspelbaar weggedrag. De nieuwe Subaru&#8217;s zullen sneller en directer reageren op stuurcommando&#8217;s, en dat biedt een wezenlijke verbetering bij uitwijkmanoeuvres en noodsituaties. Bovendien is het SGP beter in staat om botsenergie te absorberen, in vergelijking met de huidige modellen is de verbetering zo&#8217;n 40%. Met andere woorden: het is een kwestie van tijd totdat de (plug-in) hybride Subaru op de markt komt.<\/p>\n<p>Doordat het SGP de basis vormt voor alle toekomstige Subaru&#8217;s wordt de productie effici\u00ebnter en worden de ontwikkelings- en productiekosten sterk verbeterd. Met andere woorden: Subaru verwacht dat de prijzen van de modellen zullen dalen. Het SGP maakt het voor de fabrieken in Indiana (VS) en Japan makkelijker om meerdere (feitelijk: alle) modellen op \u00e9\u00e9n productielijn te assembleren.
