Even niet werken, even niet aan auto&#8217;s denken, maar natuurlijk wel lekker autorijden. Over de Timmelsjoch tussen Oostenrijk en Itali\u00eb bijvoorbeeld. Een route die door autofabrikanten als testroute wordt ingezet. Want plotseling zag Carnold een mysterieuze, zwarte auto die op de hielen werd gezeten door een nieuwe Porsche 911 Turbo&#8230;<!--more-->Terwijl dit snelle duo snel naderde, probeerde ik mijn camera te pakken, maar ik was helaas te laat. In het voorbijgaan zag ik dat de mysterieuze zwarte auto een heuse Acura NSX is. Druk bezig met het testen in Europa, en met het benchmarken tegen een Porsche 911. Jammer dat ik &#8216;m niet op de lichtgevoelige chip kreeg. Maar even later had ik flink geluk. Bij een tankstation waar we een pitstop hielden, stopte de Acura. originele NSX er amper in herkennen. Maar dat is in geen enkel opzicht jammer, want als je oog in oog met de nieuwe Honda NSX staat, dan merk je dat de nieuwe versie de oude in veel opzichten recht doet. In de eerste plaats is de nieuwe NSX een compacte auto. Tuurlijk, hij is laag, hij is breed, maar in vergelijking met een Nissan GT-R of een Lexus LF-A is de nieuwe Honda NSX zichtbaar een maatje kleiner. De originele NSX was \/ is dat ook, en dat is dan ook de kracht van de nieuwe, want door zijn maatvoering (zeker in de breedte) kun je ook op smalle binnenwegen goed uit de voeten met deze auto. Opvallend zijn de ranke A-stijlen en de relatief lage raamlijn waardoor je als bestuurder uitstekend zicht hebt op de nabije omgeving. Deze NSX piep je zo in een krappe parkeerplek, en ook bij de Jumbo op de parking kun je deze Honda makkelijk tussen de HR-V&#8217;s en CR-V&#8217;s inparkeren. Helaas mocht ik geen foto&#8217;s van het interieur maken, want op het dashboard zaten instructies geplakt om de elektronische vangnetten te manipuleren. Iets dat Honda (terecht) graag onder de pet houdt.<\/p>\n<h2>Een echte bochtenridder<\/h2>\n<p>De NSX was nog voorzien van de Acura-logo&#8217;s, logische, aangezien de NSX in Amerika gebouwd wordt. Het is daarom ook niet verwonderlijk dat de testrijders zelf ook Amerikaans waren. Aardige jongens trouwens, die even de tijd namen om mijn vragen te beantwoorden. Het bleek dat de NSX op de bewuste dag tegen de 911 Turbo was getest, met name om de remmen en het remvermogen te vergelijken. De test-NSX was voorzien van carbon-keramische remschijven met een enorm contactoppervlak, en zeszuiger remklauwen. De vijfspaaks velgen zijn bijzonder rank, iets dat de koeling van de schijven en klauwen ten goede komt. Bovenop de motorkap bevinden zich de sleuven die de warmte van de elektromotor afvoeren. Wat ik tijdens het testwerk heb kunnen zien, is dat de nieuwe Honda NSX vreselijk hard bochten uitaccelereert. NSX-liefhebbers kunnen gerust zijn, want het motorgeluid doet sterk denken aan dat van de originele NSX. Prachtig, vooral omdat de motor heel snel toeren maakt en bij hoge toeren hoorbaar op zijn gelukkigst is.
