Op de Parijse Autosalon beleeft de nieuwe Suzuki Vitara zijn wereldpremi\u00e8re, volgend jaar komt de auto op de markt.\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe Suzuki Vitara is 4,17m lang, 1,77m breed en 1,61m hoog. De iV-4 concept die Suzuki vorig jaar toonde, is een duidelijke voorbode van de nieuwe Vitara gebleken. Het ontwerp is omgezet in een robuust ogende en praktische auto. de keuze uit twee motoren: de 1.6 benzinemotor is te koppelen aan een handbak met vijf versnellingen of een zestraps automaat. Deze motor levert 88 kW \/ 120 pk bij 6.000 toeren en 156 Nm bij 4.400 toeren. De 1.6 dieselmotor is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde zesversnellingsbak en levert 88 kW \/ 120 pk bij 3.750toeren en 320 Nm bij 1.750 toeren.<\/p>\n<p>In navolging van andere Suzuki modellen is de nieuwe Vitara uitgerust met Suzuki\u2019s TECT (Total Effective Control Technology) dat gebruik maakt van ultrasterk lichtgewicht staal. Aangevuld met o.a. liefst zeven airbags biedt dit optimale bescherming voor de inzittenden. De veiligheid is verder uit te breiden met Suzuki\u2019s AllGrip vierwielaandrijving, dit garandeert veel grip bij een veelheid aan ondergronden, in het bijzonder offroad en op besneeuwde of ijzige wegen.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast zijn ook Radar Brake Support en Adaptive Cruise Control leverbaar. Beide systemen helpen aanrijdingen voorkomen of onverhoopte schade reduceren. Radar Brake Support waakt over de afstand tot voorliggers. Mocht de afstand te klein worden, dan waarschuwt het systeem de bestuurder en grijpt desnoods met een remingreep in.
