Suzuki&#8217;s fabriek in Rayong, Thailand, gaat de Celerio&#8217;s voor de Thaise en Europese markt produceren. De Rayong plant is van start gegaan in 2012 en is daarmee een van Suzuki&#8217;s nieuwste productiefaciliteiten. Ruim 1.200 medewerkers werken er aan de productie van de Swift en straks ook de Celerio. Vorig jaar werden er ruim 45.000 Suzuki&#8217;s in Rayong geproduceerd.<!--more-->Intussen druppelt er ook meer informatie over de specificaties van de Suzuki Celerio binnen. Suzuki laat weten dat de Celerio de grootste kofferruimte in zijn klasse heeft en dat de auto ook qua buitenmaten groter is dan de klassestandaard. De kleptuimelaars zijn voorzien van rollen, de zuigerbodems zijn komvormig en voorzien van oliekoeling, Suzuki past een dual-injection systeem toe, evenals een gekoeld EGR-systeem. Dit alles moet de thermische en mechanische belasting binnen de perken houden met het oog op hoge prestaties en een laag brandstofverbruik.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NchjQ8OPp_I\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Standaard krijgt de Celerio een handgeschakelde vijfbak mee, maar Suzuki heeft ook een geautomatiseerde handbak ontwikkeld; de Auto Gear Shift. Het biedt de voordelen van een automaat, terwijl het brandstofverbruik gelijk is aan de handgeschakelde versies. De veiligheidsuitrusting bestaat uit zes airbags, ESP en een bandenspanningscontrolesysteem. Noemenswaardig is de toepassing van een Hill-hold systeem dat ongewenst achteruitrollen tegengaat. De Suzuki Celerio verschijnt naar verwachting volgend jaar op de Nederlandse markt, de Alto is gedurende geheel 2014 leverbaar.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style>\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin:
